Happy Birthday Caleb

Caleb turned 7 on the 18th of July. He was very excited for his birthday this year. Caleb will be in 2nd grade soon. He loves to read. He also loves to wrestle with Dad and his brother. Caleb has become my big helper and loves to do special things for Mom.

Pioneer Days

July 23rd we went to Bountiful for the parade. It was so HOT!! The kids loved it though because of all the candy thrown their way. They seriously got a ton! Kayden was so excited he was literally jumping up and down doing this little dance. The KSL float was going by and Kevin Eubank saw Kayden and started mimicking him. It was so funny. Lizzy got thrown extra cool stuff like beach balls because she'd stand there looking so cute. To end the parade, Caleb decided to spray bug spray in Kayden's eyes and Samantha's mouth because they were teasing him. A quick call to poison control assured us that Kayden and Sammy would be fine- Caleb would live after all!

Mason at his first parade. He cried through the sirens at the beginning like all my kids did. After the parade we did the traditional ice cream and then on to the fireworks. Lizzy fell asleep just as they were beginning.

Duck Creek Village

We went to Duck Creek Creek Village (30 miles out of Cedar City) for our vacation this year. We went with Matt's family and rented a cabin. It was a lot of fun. This is Rylee (who got stuck riding with us) with our kids as we were heading out of town.

Lizzy cuddling with Dad to keep warm. The village was by a couple of lakes. We went to Navajo Lake. It was COLD!! The kids loved it.
Brady with the kids. This was on our "hike" to Cascade Falls. The trail was actually washed out, so we couldn't go too far. We stopped at a scenic overlook for lunch. Elizabeth had been hiking on dads back in a carrier and enjoyed her freedom. She enjoyed it a bit too much though. When she got too close to the edge of the cliff, Dad had to grab her. Unfortunately it was her left arm (the one that's been dislocated twice) and now it's been dislocated 3 times. We now know where the Insta Care in Cedar City is!!! Poor Liz:(
Ice Caves. It was quite a drop down. We were told there's usually a rope to help you down, but it wasn't there. I opted not to try to take Mason down. I was glad that's what I chose when both Caleb and Kayden were hurt in the cave. The boys forgot it was an "ice" cave and were running and slipped. Caleb's whole right side was scrapped up pretty good.

Caleb and Kayden playing Sorry at the cabin.

Kayden roasting his marshmallows to perfection!

Brady and Rylee trying to dunk Uncle Matt in the cold water at Navajo Lake.

Daddy and Lizzy with Grandma Stones around the campfire.

We had so much fun on our trip. I can't wait to go again- especially without a newborn! Actually Mason was pretty good and he had lots of cousins who wanted to help out. Thanks Newcomers!!

Happy Birthday Matt

Matt turned 35 on the 18th of June. We had his family over for cake and ice cream. It was a special treat because Matt's niece's and nephew from Ohio were here visiting and could join us for the celebration.

Matt and his brother Guy dishing up for the hungry boys.

Matt opening his birthday presents. Or maybe it was his Father's Day presents. Matt's birthday and Father's Day were only two days apart this year. Lucky Matt!

The whole gang!

Where did May go???

The day after we came home from the hospital with Mason was Elizabeth's 2nd Birthday. I'm a bit slow updating our blog because guess what? I'm not supermom like I thought. Four kids keeps me busy. Some things get neglected- like sleep and updating my blog. So I'll try to play catch-up now.

Elizabeth had some blood work done and found out that she is allergic to eggs and chicken. So here's our first birthday cake made with egg substitute. Turns out you can't tell the difference. It's cheaper and a whole lot healthier than real eggs too!

My little cheese!!
Lizzy enjoying her cake.

Playing with her new baby doll.

Mom and Dad got Elizabeth a swing to hang from the tree in our front yard. She loves swinging on her cousins- they fight over it whenever we go there. So we thought she'd love it. We hung it from the tree and she's terrified of it. "No Daddy No!!!!"

Aunt Elisa gave Elizabeth a kitty for her birthday that meows and walks like a real cat. Elizabeth treats this cat with as much "love and affection" as she does our real cat. Poor cat.

Mason

Mason Dean Stones joined our family Friday, the 30th of April at 6:58 pm. Mason weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and is 20 1/2 inches long.

Mason's brothers and sister love him already. Kayden especially is constantly asking to hold him. Elizabeth on the other hand has been caught in Mason's swing and his car seat where she has pulled a baby blanket over herself and stolen one of Mason's binkie's. Jealous? She's also learned that Mom and Dad have to drop what they're doing- including paying attention to the baby if she says the magic words, "potty". Hmmm...potty training and a newborn....yes I'm crazy.

Daddy has been awesome helping out this week while he's off of work. I'm a bit nervous what next week will be like when it's just Mom!

Welcome to our family Mason!! We're so glad you're finally here!
